Sir Sedric’s Drum Refills and Wav Packs 0
Sir Sedric just started a blog with some great Reason tutorials, a new Refill for sale called “Funked Out Pimp” and two free drum refills called “Sir Sedric’s BoomBapp” and “ChipDrums”. Yeah, more free stuff for Reason users!
BoomBapp has 100 kicks and 50 snares that are pretty dirty and grimy and perfectly suitable for the style of hip-hop one would refer to as “BoomBapp”. If you’re using the stock drums sounds that come with Reason, these will definitely give you a different flavor. And trust me, you won’t need to EQ any bass into these kicks. They hit hard.
ChipDrums has some lo-fi bitcrunched drum sounds that sound like they were produced by a gameboy or commodore 64 computer. “Chiptunes” (video game sounding songs) are pretty in-style right now and this sample pack gives you access to sounds that stand up next to sample packs costing mucho dinero. Even if you won’t be making nintendo style beats anytime soon, you can use these drums creatively in intros/transitions/breakdowns to really good a unique production feel to almost any style of music. The little percussion and fx extras are really rad, too.
Even if you don’t have reason, there is an accompanying folders of just the .wav files of all the samples. That means you can load them into any sampler and use them!
